The Feltham Creek Point lookout went up in 1933 on a peak about 21 miles north of Stanley, Idaho, in the Challis National Forest.1,2,3 It was an L-4 cabin with a hip roof.1,4 The climbing guide puts the peak about 21 miles northwest of Stanley, so the sources differ on direction.5

None of the sources names anyone who staffed the cabin. Idaho Fire Lookouts says it has no documented staffing history for the site.3 The sources do not describe any notable fire connected with the lookout.

The cabin did not last long. The Former Fire Lookout Sites register says it was removed in 1967.1 Firelookout.com, Idaho Fire Lookouts and the Forest Lookouts Idaho page all say it was destroyed that year.2,3,4 The sources agree on the year but not on how the cabin ended. The register recorded the site on January 24, 2011.1

No source describes a standing building today. The 2019 climbing guide includes a photo caption that describes what remains of the lookout on the summit.5 The same guide says the summit is reached by forest roads, that a 4WD is advisable, and that cars are left just below the summit.5 The guide calls the outlook from the top remarkable and says the Sawtooths are in view.5 Idaho Fire Lookouts lists the site as drive-up.3 None of the sources mentions a closure or a permit rule, but none spells out the site's access rules either.
