The Millington Lookout Tower is in Shelby County, Tennessee, and the National Historic Lookout Register lists it as US 1763, TN 67.1 It is a 100-foot Aermotor MC-39 tower, but it did not begin its life in Millington.1 The Register says it once stood near Fordyce, Arkansas, and was moved to Millington in the late 1980s.1

The Register records the tower as registered on August 10, 2023, on the nomination of Jason Johns.1 It names Baseball USA Stadium as the administrator.1 The town has its own baseball link: a historical marker there says national searches chose Millington for the 1st USA baseball training site in 1985.2

The Register notes a site visit marked 1/2/23, but it says nothing about the tower's condition since then.1 We found no account of who staffed the tower or of any fire it watched.1
