When and where
Live online classes run on set dates and times, most about two hours. Some classes are 90 minutes.
We do not have a meeting place for this group yet.
You can join online.
Your first visit
Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.
First step: Pick a live class on the Classes page and register through its link, or subscribe to the free quarterly issue first.
Check with the group before you show up. You need to sign up first.
What to expect
Classes are live on Zoom with a set date and time, usually about two hours. Seats are limited, from 4 to 25 people depending on the class. Some classes ask you to bring a short draft of up to 1,000 words, and some sessions are not recorded.
Tips for your first visit
- Read the class description to see whether you need to bring a draft
- Register early, since small classes fill up
Newcomer welcome
Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Classes are open to writers of all genres and experience levels and can be booked online, but some expect a draft you bring to class, and each class has a seat limit.
