Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Call 215-921-8243, or use the Contact Us page on the site, to ask about joining a Saturday session for teens aged 13 to 17..

What to expect

Each Saturday session runs 10 am to noon at the Calvary Center on Baltimore Avenue. Teens play theater games, learn how a play is built, and help choose, cast, design, and build a show that the company performs for the community. There is no cost to take part.

Tips for your first visit

  • Enter by the side door on 48th Street at 4740 Baltimore Avenue.
  • Take the SEPTA 34 trolley to the corner of Baltimore Avenue and 48th Street, or drive and look for the free Parking Authority lot at 4716 to 4723 Baltimore Avenue (spaces depend on availability).
  • Call ahead to confirm when the next session starts, since the page does not list what to bring or wear.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: The teen company is free and open to local teens who call or write. The page describes no audition or formal application..
