A sports group for girls and gender-expansive youth in Philadelphia. Its fall volleyball clinics run for grades 3 to 8 and its Sunday ultimate frisbee clinics for grades 4 to 9. Clinics are paid by the session, with a lower community rate.

Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: For ultimate, complete the online registration form on the Ultimate Frisbee clinic page for the next Sunday session. Volleyball is full, so email info@fastbreakphilly.com to join its waitlist..

Check with the group before you show up. You need to sign up first.

What to expect

The site does not describe tryouts or a first session in detail. The ultimate clinics teach the fundamentals of the game, skill building, and team play, with a focus on confidence. The earlier volleyball session for each grade band focuses on fundamentals, and the later one adds more game play.

Tips for your first visit

  • Pick the session that matches the player's grade, since volleyball is split by grade
  • Sixth graders may choose either volleyball session
  • Have the school, grade, level of play, and caregiver contact details ready for the form
  • Join the email list to hear about schedule changes

Cost and commitment

Cost
Low cost. Volleyball is $25 per session or $100 for all five. Ultimate is $10 per session. A lower community rate applies: $15 per volleyball session or $60 for all five, and $6 per ultimate session, entered with a code at checkout.
