Who it is for

Who can join: Open to anyone
Who is there: Neighbors

When and where

Yoga in the Park runs 10 to 11 am on dates the site lists through the warm months. The group also holds park cleanups and a volunteer kick-off, and the site posts each date.

Times: Morning

Northwood Park

Address: 999 Arrott St
Part of the city: Lower Northeast

Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Fill in the JOIN US form on northwoodparkfriends.com, then come to the Volunteer Kick-Off or a listed cleanup.

What to expect

Cleanups are hands-on work in the park alongside neighbors. The spring Love Your Park cleanup on the site runs 10 am to noon, and the site does not say what to bring, whether tools are supplied, or whether events cost money.

Tips for your first visit

Come to the Volunteer Kick-Off first if you want to meet the group before a cleanup.
The site does not give parking, transit or what to bring, so email the group's listed contact address before you come.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: The site has a join form and a kick-off day, which is a clear start, but it does not say beginners or newcomers are welcome..

Cost and commitment

Cost: Cost not known yet. The page does not say whether events are free. The plant sale is a fundraiser.

Access and languages

Wheelchair access: We do not know yet. Ask the group before you go.
Languages spoken: We do not know yet which languages are spoken.

Requirements

We found no special requirements. Ask the group if you are not sure.

How to reach them

We copy contact details as the group or a public source published them. Each one shows where it came from.
