Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Come to a listed Friday or Sunday fibercraft afternoon, 1 to 3 pm, at the museum. Call (215) 685-0544 first to ask whether you need to sign up and what to bring..

You can just show up.

What to expect

Sessions run for two hours, 1 to 3 pm, on the listed Fridays and Sundays. The museum page does not say what the group makes, who usually comes, or whether you bring your own project. The museum is open Friday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, and admission is free with donations welcome.

Tips for your first visit

  • Call the museum before you come to ask what to bring, since the page does not say.
  • Arrive by 1 pm, when the afternoon starts.
  • Free parking is behind the building.
  • Donations are welcome but not required.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: The museum lists these afternoons as free and open to the public, but the page does not say whether to register or what a newcomer does there..
