Harriett's Bookclub
A Philadelphia book club run by its own nonprofit. It hosts author talks, book events, dinners and essay club nights, but its website does not post regular meeting dates or a book list.
Saved in this browser only.
What they do
Takes part in the club's author talks, book events, dinners and essay club, which the events page lists. The site does not say how the club's own meetings work, so email to ask how to attend.

Your first visit
Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.
First step: Email hello@harriettsbook.club to ask when the next book club meeting or event is, where it meets, and whether new people can come..
What to expect
The site does not describe a first visit. Its events page lists past author talks, book events, a dinner tied to a book, and an essay club held on February 18, 2026, with no prices or meeting times shown. Ask by email what the next event is and whether it is open to people new to the club.
Tips for your first visit
- Email rather than using the newsletter sign up, which the site says is not set up yet.
Newcomer welcome
Takes some effort for newcomers (2 out of 5). Why we say this: The events page lists many public events, but it does not say when or where the book club meets or who can attend, so the way in is an email first..
