Your first visit
Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.
First step: Register online through the sign-up link for your division: boys or girls 6 to 11, girls 12 to 18, boys 12 to 18, or adults 19 and up. Sign up early, because spots fill quickly..
Check with the group before you show up. You need to sign up first.
What to expect
Sign-up comes first. Players are placed on teams through a draft held in early January for the winter league, and the winter season has early December scrimmages before nine Saturday games in January. Each player receives a jersey, and the site does not list game or practice times.
Tips for your first visit
- Register early, since spots fill quickly and the site gives no deadline.
- Ask the league for game and practice times and the home court, since the site does not list them.
Newcomer welcome
Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Registration is public and clear, and the league offers Spanish-language support, but the site does not describe tryouts or skill levels, and players are placed through a draft..
