Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Pick an upcoming show on the events page, such as the October 22 or October 25 concerts, and buy a ticket. To rehearse, perform or teach at the venue, email booking@maasbuilding.com..

Check with the group before you show up.

What to expect

MAAS Presents shows are ticketed and listed with dates. For the October 25 show by GQ, doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7 pm. Other start times, ticket prices and age limits are not listed on the pages we read.

Tips for your first visit

  • Check the event page for the start time and ticket price before you go.
  • Email booking@maasbuilding.com to ask about wheelchair access and accessible entrances, since the site does not say.
  • Plan your trip: the site does not name a SEPTA stop or parking.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Shows are open to the public and you can buy a ticket, and the site invites people to book the space. It does not describe the audience, age limits, or what a first show is like..

Cost and commitment

Cost
Paid. Show tickets are sold for each event, and prices are not on the pages we read. Room rental: rehearsals $15 an hour; classes open to the public $20 an hour for up to 12 people, and $25 an hour for 12 or more.
