Your first visit
Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.
First step: Fill in the city's sign-up survey, linked from the group's event page, to get the Zoom link before the session..
Check with the group before you show up. You need to sign up first.
What to expect
Each session runs an hour and a half on Zoom on Wednesday evenings, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. The group is for parents who have lost a child to a drug-related loss, and the sessions are a place to talk about that loss with other parents. Nothing is charged to take part.
Tips for your first visit
- Sign up before the session so the Zoom link reaches you in time.
- The sessions run in Eastern time, so check the start time if you are in another time zone.
Newcomer welcome
Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: The group is free and open to parents who lost a child to a drug-related loss, and the way in is a clear online sign-up. The city pages do not say what a first session is like or whether new people can join partway through a series..
