Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative

A network of more than 170 youth sports programs across Philadelphia. It trains coaches and referees, shares safety guidance, and helps families find a sports program near home. It also works with the city on accessible recreation.

Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Open the Find A Provider member map, pick a sport tab, and contact a program from its own website..

Check with the group before you show up. No sign up needed.

What to expect

The member map lists programs by sport and links to each program's own website. It does not show addresses, schedules, ages or fees, so families check each program before signing up. Coaches and volunteers can join free trainings on topics such as first aid, mandated reporting and trauma informed coaching.

Tips for your first visit

  • Choose a sport tab first, since the map filters by sport only.
  • Check each program's own website for ages, schedule and fees.
  • The city's Program Locator covers city run recreation by age, activity, location and season.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Families can search the member list and contact programs with no sign up, and the trainings ask for a simple email to join..

Cost and commitment

Cost
Free. Searching the member map and joining the network are free. Trainings are free for coaches, staff and volunteers of member groups. Each sports program sets its own fees.
