Your first visit
Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.
First step: Email phillyspringcleanup@phila.gov to ask when registration reopens. Once it is open, register as a volunteer or sign up a cleanup project on the city's Spring Cleanup page..
You need to sign up first.
What to expect
Volunteers join a cleanup project, either one they register or one that already exists. Donations pay for the tools and bags used on the day, and taking part is free.
Tips for your first visit
- Watch the city page for when sign ups open, since they were closed when checked.
Newcomer welcome
Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Anyone can take part and the city lists an email for questions, but registration was closed on the city page when it was checked..
