Weekly classes at the Race Street studio. Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 7:30 pm are all-levels classes. Friday from 6:30 to 8 pm is open gym, kicks and roda (the playing circle). Saturday classes are split by age: ages 4 to 6 from 12:20 to 1 pm, ages 7 to 12 from 1 to 2 pm, and all levels from 2 to 3:30 pm.

Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Go to an all-levels class at 1213 Race Street (Tuesday or Thursday 6 to 7:30 pm, or Monday or Wednesday 6:30 to 8 pm), or use the contact form to ask about the Saturday kids class for ages 4 and up..

What to expect

Classes are held in a studio on the ground floor at 1213 Race Street, and weeknight sessions run about 90 minutes. Expect a class built around capoeira's moves, music and play. The site does not say what a first class costs, so ask the studio before you come.
