Your first visit
Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.
First step: Text EQUAL INFO to 215-910-4040 to start getting free updates in English or Spanish. To attend a briefing, check the Germantown Info Hub for the next one..
What to expect
The one briefing we read about ran from 6 to 8:30 pm in person at The Braid Mill in Germantown, with speakers from city offices and a legal services group on property and estate topics. The site does not say whether it cost money or needed a reservation.
Newcomer welcome
Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Anyone can join the free text service or a newsletter in one step, and the site says how. It does not say how a first briefing works or whether a reservation is needed..
Cost and commitment
- Cost
- Free. The text service is free. The site does not state a cost for the newsletters or briefings.
