Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Email rmwhsarchives@gmail.com to book an archive visit, or to join as a member at the yearly rate. The Contact Us page on the website has a form too..

Check with the group before you show up. You need to sign up first.

What to expect

A visit is by appointment, for up to two people at a time, in a small room inside the Roxborough library branch. Food, drink and pets are not allowed, and children must come with an adult. The site does not say how long a visit lasts or what research help costs.

Tips for your first visit

  • Book a time by email first, since visits are by appointment only.
  • Leave food, drink and pets at home.
  • Bring an adult with any child.
  • Park on Hermitage Street, where free street parking is recommended.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Open to the public, with a clear way in by email or the contact form. Archive visits need an appointment, and only two visitors are allowed at a time..
