Your first visit
Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.
First step: Email concerts@specevents.net to ask about the next general meeting, or join the committee's listserv if you are a Penn student..
What to expect
General meetings are held weekly during the year, where the committee talks about event ideas, listens to music and socializes. Members also get perks such as free entry to the April concert and a chance to meet artists backstage.
Newcomer welcome
Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: The committees take no application and students can join at any point in the semester, but the site does not say newcomers are specially welcomed and gives no meeting times..
