When and where

Teams meet at four Philadelphia locations. Ask the group for each team's days and times.

Four sites: North Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, Southwest Philadelphia, and Kensington

We do not have a meeting place for this group yet.

Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Email Taz McDermott at taz@streetsoccerusa.org to join a team. Coaches and volunteers can use the Apply to be a Volunteer or Coach form on the page..

You need to sign up first.

What to expect

The national group says it serves youth ages 4 and up, and also adults, homeless families and people in recovery. The Philadelphia page does not say what a team session looks like or how often teams meet, so ask Taz before the first visit.

Tips for your first visit

  • Email first to confirm the team, day and place you will attend.
  • Ask what to bring and whether the team has openings.
  • If you want to help rather than play, the coach and volunteer form is the direct route.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: The Philadelphia page names a contact to join a team and a public form for coaches and volunteers. It does not describe a newcomer program or drop-in sessions..

Cost and commitment

Cost
Cost not known yet. The national site lists no player fees, only donation options.

Access and languages

Wheelchair access

Languages spoken
We do not know yet which languages are spoken.

Requirements

How to reach them

We copy contact details as the group or a public source published them. Each one shows where it came from.
