Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

First step: Come to the second Saturday workday, 9 am to noon, at the course, or email friendsofsedgleywoods@gmail.com to ask how to join..

You can just show up.

What to expect

A workday is a few hours of outdoor work: mowing, weed-whacking, picking up sticks and trash, and course projects. Weekend tags start at 11 am, so arrive early to check in. Discs are usually sold at the course on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and play is free.

Tips for your first visit

  • Check the group's calendar or its Facebook events page before a workday, since workdays are sometimes moved or canceled.
  • For a weekend tag, arrive early to check in.
  • Ask a club member on site where to start, since the About page says someone from the club will be there to answer questions.

Newcomer welcome

Welcoming to newcomers (4 out of 5). Why we say this: The About page says someone from the club will be there to answer questions and show you around, and the workdays page invites anyone to pitch in. The tags and monthly events are described as casual..
