What they do

Kindness Ambassadors are volunteers who do a fixed number of kind acts each month and spread the group's projects online, by email, or by text. Most of the work can be done from home, and volunteering is optional. The group also runs seasonal donation drives, a Christmas breakfast project for families in need, and a book scholarship (a bookstore gift card) for college students.

Your first visit

Feeling unsure the first time is normal. Most groups are glad when someone new walks in.

You need to sign up first.

What to expect

Ambassadors carry out kind acts each month and share projects online, by email, or by text. They can also suggest projects, and the group offers recognition and a reference after three months of service. The site does not list hours or a time commitment.

Newcomer welcome

Fine for newcomers, but you may need to speak up (3 out of 5). Why we say this: Anyone can email to volunteer, and most ambassador tasks can be done online..
